OF DARKNESS Filmmaker Commentary session
Eventide’s producer Paul Irwin, director Gary E. Irwin and writer Matt Casale gathered together last week to lay down the filmmaker commentary for the upcoming “Of Darkness” DVD release set for the beginning of October.
This was the first commentary session for the Eventide gang and besides being a blast, it was also a great trip down memory lane. Be sure to look out for a few surprise guest stars when the DVD hits stores.

Eventide Productions started as a platform for creative expression, upon which its members could showcase their various collaborative & artistic endeavors. Armed merely with an “art for art’s sake” mentality, the early stages of the company were driven by a simple initiative: find a way to flex our collective creative muscles…tell our stories…entertain the masses. Over the years Eventide Productions has evolved into a more cohesive business entity, having realized the viability of the entertainment industry’s revenue potentials. But the blueprint in the same; it all starts with a great idea, and ends with finding an audience.

Doing the filmmakers commentary was really fun. It was refreshing to sit down and talk about aspects of the film, some of which the three of us may have never actually communicated to one another. There are various things that we go through in each of our creative processes that have never come up in discussion between the three of us. It’s amusing to be so close to a work, and then have light shed on an aspect that you never even knew about it. This commentary allowed us to do that. And I think these little tidbits of information deserve a closer look, so I will elaborate in more detail in the following thread entitled: BACK-STORY.
