Hey everyone, here are the latest updates on our new Horror film Sufferance. As Matt continues to work his magic to polish off the script, we’ve had a few other cool things happen in the last few weeks.
In Investment news, we have another 10k committed to the film. As most folks know, financing an independent film with private capital is a very difficult and potentially long process, especially during these shaky economical times. So the fact that we’ve already raised 20k in angel investments, has us feeling pretty good about the path ahead of...
Finally finished the latest draft of the script. Will be sending it back to Matt this week for final touches and polish…but it is really close!!!
Speaking of Matt, I’d like to take a quick minute to publicly thank my amazing writer and dear friend, for his continued help in merging our two visions together. His patience and support mean a lot to me. So lucky to have him as a creative collaborator.
This has been such a long journey (Especially for Matt and Bill) but as we inch closer to having a final draft of the script, I’m confident that it was well...
Recently, in an effort to create an online community, Eventide Productions launched a page on Facebook. As we begin the journey to create our first feature film, we’ll be using that page to not only keep current fans up to date, but to also attract new ones and grow a community. In the world of Independent film, distributors are using sites like Facebook, Twitter and Myspace to raise awareness about a film. Therefore it’s becoming increasingly more important to have a Social profile so we figured we’d get started early. That way, (Hopefully) by the...
Eventide Productions has hired illustrator and artist Steve Cleff to create storyboards for the companies first feature-length narrative film, SUFFERANCE. Steve is no stranger to the world of Eventide, having first worked with the team when he created the illustrations featured inside the book OF DARKNESS. (Check out those illustrations)
Storyboards are an essential part of any Eventide project and we’re very excited to begin this collaboration with our friend and talented illustrator. In addition to mapping out the visuals of the film, we’ll also be...
Eventide Productions is thrilled to announce the addition of producer Jason Contino to the Sufferance team. Jason just wrapped up producing Ben Hickernell’s Lebanon, Pa. which just had it’s world premiere @ SXSW 2010. Before Lebanon, Pa. Jason had a string of successful low-budget horror movies, including the 2007 scare-flick The Murder Game about a group of teenagers who invent a game in which one of them is secretly chosen to be a “killer,” while the others remain innocent victims. I’ve had a chance to get to know Jason over the...
On January 24th, 2010 I recieved the following email from SUFFERANCE screenwriter Matt Casale:
“At long last – it’s about time – and all that other fun stuff. The draft is finally done.
Of course there will always be corrections and tweaks and more re-writes, etc, etc, you stole fizzy lifting drinks…But you know what I say – don’t get it right, get it written.
So without further adu – I bring you Version 4.”

Eventide Productions started as a platform for creative expression, upon which its members could showcase their various collaborative & artistic endeavors. Armed merely with an “art for art’s sake” mentality, the early stages of the company were driven by a simple initiative: find a way to flex our collective creative muscles…tell our stories…entertain the masses.
Over the years Eventide Productions has evolved into a more cohesive business entity, having realized the viability of the entertainment industry’s revenue potentials. But the blueprint in the same; it all starts with a great idea, and ends with finding an audience.
